Decodr is a general-purpose media player. This page explains exactly what the service does and does not do.
Decodr is a client-side player for the M3U and M3U8 playlist formats and for HLS, MP4 and WebM streams. It runs entirely in your browser. When you supply a playlist or stream link, your own device requests that stream directly from whoever hosts it.
You may only use Decodr with content you are legally entitled to access: streams from a subscription you pay for, free-to-air and public broadcaster feeds, your own media server, or content you own or have permission to use. Using this player with pirated, unauthorised or otherwise infringing streams is a breach of these terms and may be unlawful where you live. You are solely responsible for the sources you load.
Playlists you load are parsed in your browser and, for convenience, cached in your browser's local storage. They are never uploaded to us. Clearing the playlist in the app removes that data from your device.
Because Decodr stores no content, there is nothing on our systems to take down — infringing material must be reported to the host that actually serves the stream. If you nonetheless believe this site is being used in a way that infringes your rights, send a notice including: identification of the work, the specific material at issue, your contact details, a statement of good-faith belief, a statement made under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorised to act, and your signature. We respond to complete notices promptly and will restrict access where we are able to.
Add your designated contact address here before publishing.
Decodr is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. Stream availability, quality and legality are entirely determined by the source you supply.
